Environmental Performance

New Idea as a responsible supplier, we have to reduce the environmental impacts and increase our operational efficiency. Office environmental policy has been launched at our office and warehouse since 2005. The aim of our in-house environmental policy is to promote the energy saving inside our office and educate our staff the way to protect our environment. We also adhere to the Environmental Protection Department (EDP) for any recycling/energy saving program. A bi-annually environment meeting is held in our office. It helps to review and analysis our effort in save our environment. Currently, we have a significant 20% decrement on our energy consumption and we aim to maintain this saving and eliminate the pollution. We will continue to running the environmental program in our internal office and delivery team, eg. Paperless and recycle the waste (cans or bottle). Also, as referred to Hong Kong Government’s protection campaign, our company has been continuous to replace the new trucks accordingly to prevent the air pollution. All the new trucks are “EURO 4” standard. It is recognized by Hong Kong Government’s environment standard. This type of truck was designed & installed a “light-through” cover at the top or LED light inside the truck. This design is essentially for energy savings in order to fulfill the environmental standard. In respect of the environment protection is important to us and our environment, we have established the environmental guidelines inside our office in order to minimize the waste and make good use of resources.


Waste disposal guideline-

The packing material (e.g. PVC box and cardboard boxes) will be re-used for our own packaging.
Eliminate to use of foam board and bubble wrapping in packing, by use of substitution like shred paper.
Use FSC paper and both sides printing copying feature.
No paper cups
Collect the used paper / cans / plastic to environmental supplier for recycling
Collect of Recycle Toner from customer
Collection service of recycle stationery from customer (internal re-use or donate to charity parties)

Our company prohibits the use of all forms of forced labor, including prison labor, indentured labor and no-identify labor.

Child Labor

Our company prohibits the hiring of individuals that are under 18 years of age for all positions.

Work Hours, Wages and Benefits

Our company compensates employees competitively relative to the industry and local labor market. We operate in full compliance with applicable wage, work hours, overtime, annual leave & sickness allowance. All are comply with Hong Kong employment ordinance.

Maternity Leave

Our company provides a continuous period of 10 weeks of maternity leave (with maternity leave pay) for all female employees (comply with Hong Kong employment ordinance)

Guidance and Reporting for Employees

Our company creates workplaces in which open and honest communications among all employees are valued and respected.

Nondiscrimination & Equality

Our company promised to provide a nondiscrimination working environment to our employees.

Regular Review

Our Human Resource & Management will review the policy annually.

Anti-Corruption

New Idea has set up an internal policy and guideline of anti-corruption for our staffs. Corruption is a risk to our business. Not only would corruption cause severe legal implications for the company and the individuals involved, it would also seriously damage our company and the values we stand for.

To ensure that New Idea maintains a high ethical standard and to avoid violations of anti-corruption laws, the following basic rules on Anti-Corruption to guide the behavior of our staffs:

1)New Idea against any form of corruption and bribery and is committed to combat such practices.
2)New Idea competes for business on fair terms and solely on the merits of its services.
3)Regardless of local practice, any personal payments, kickbacks or bribes between New Idea and customers, suppliers or public servants are strictly prohibited.
4)It is unacceptable to receive gifts or other gratuities from business partners – unless customary in the environment and of modest nominal value.
